Ice Cream Sandwiches are pretty much being discussed at this time, if the previous Asus promises Android 4.0 update for all tablets, Nexus just would not get it. Nexus hardware supposedly too old to be able to run Ice Cream Sandwich. And apparently now the LG Optimus 2X also suffered the same fate.

Nowadays it seems that many smartphone owners that await if their handsets would get the update Ice Cream Sandwich. There are several new Android smartphones, such as the Motorola RAZR Droid and Droid Bionic that will get updated, but some older smartphones threatened will not get it. As mentioned earlier, the Nexus One does not get the Android 4.0 update it, so did the LG Optimus 2X.

Actually this is somewhat surprising, given that the LG Optimus 2X almost a year newer than the Nexus One, with hardware specs certainly better to boot, but again this is the decision of LG, not Google. Although the handset manufacturers do not give a reason why they will not update the latest Android OS.

If you look at some devices that have not received updates Gingerbread 2.3, such as variants of T-Mobile and G2X, LG seems to have given up with Optimus 2X. This of course leaves the question with a number of mobile phones, such as the Black Optimus and Optimus 3D, whether the two handsets will also be experiencing the same thing. While awaiting a decision for the second handset, the Optimus 2X users seem to be hoping that the developers will come with a ROM Ice Cream Sandwiches for their smartphones.
